Here you will learn how to manually download videos that you watch on facebook.

Let's begin!

Figure 4.1
NOTE: This method works well on Google Chrome!

Step 1: Find a Video that plays on "facebook.com"(I'm using Google Chrome)
  • In your browser(Google Chrome) open Menu > Tools > Developer Tools(refer figure 4.1)
  • Now you will see the Developer Tools in the bottom section of the browser.
  • Goto the "Network" Tab here(refer figure 4.2)
  • You will now see a table, now click on the "type" column to sort it!

Step 2: Here in the Column you'll have to look for the "video/mp4" OR "video/flv" when you play the video.
Figure 4.2

  • Click on the Video to start playing it!
  • As soon as the video starts, you will find the "video/mp4" OR "video/flv" in the "type" column.

Figure 4.3

  • Right Click on it and select "Open link in new tab" (refer Figure 4.3)
  • Now no need of this window/video you can close it!
  • Your video is opened in a new tab.

Turn Windows 7/8 PC into a WiFi router

Hi! Welcome to this post!

Here you will learn how to turn your Windows PC into a WiFi router so that you can access the internet on all WiFi devices in range.

First of all you will be needing these 3 things:-
  1. The Command Prompt
  2. An Internet Connection
  3. A WiFi device
Let's begin!

Figure 2.1

Step 1 - Open the Command Prompt(with Administrator Privilege).
  • Open Start Menu
  • Ttype here "cmd"
  • Right-click on cmd
  • Select "Run As Administrator" (See Figure 2.1)
  • Then select Yes, and you have the Command Prompt now.

Step 2 - Type the following command in your Command Prompt.
  • netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=WiFi_name key=PasswordForYourWifi
  • Press Enter you will see a message telling that your hostednetwork has been successfully created(see figure 2.2)
  • Now minimize the Command Prompt, and proceed further.
Figure 2.2
Step 3 - Open the Control Panel.
  • In Control Panel goto "Network and Internet"
  • Goto "Network and Sharing Center"
  • Goto "Change adapter settings"
  • You will be seeing some connections here
  • Look for "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" (refer figure 2.3) and remember it's name, for example, "Wireless Network Connection 2" as shown in the figure below.
Figure 2.3
Step 4 - Herein find and Select the Internet connection you generally use.
  • I use Vodafone, so select and right-click on it
  • select properties > goto "Sharing" tab
  • check the "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection" option
  • and then choose the name of your WiFi Miniport Adapter from the list below(see figure 2.4)
  • for me it is "Wireless Network Connection 2" it might be just "Wireless Network Connection" in your PC, so choose carefully.
  • Click OK, you will see a Green Tick Mark(showing it's shared, figure 2.3) on your internet connection.
Figure 2.4

Step 5 - Close the Control Panel and enable your Wireless Adapter.
  • Connect to the Internet you usually do, wait for it to successfully connect
  • Now get back to the Command Prompt and type the following command
  • netsh wlan start hostednetwork
  • press Enter, you'll see a message "The hosted network started"
  • Check networks in the bottom-right corner on the task-bar(see figure 2.5)
Figure 2.5

!! Congratulations your PC is now working as a WiFi Router !!

Step 6 - Check for Available WiFi Networks on your WiFi device.
  • Choose yours, enter the password you've set for the WiFi
  • and you're now using your Internet Connection over WiFi, using your Windows PC :)
NOTE : This connection will appear on every WiFi device in range, so don't forget to put a strong password.

Step 7 - For disabling your WiFi.
  • In case you need to use the internet only on your PC so it's better to turn off the WiFi
  • start the command prompt (with Administrator privilege)
  • type here: netsh wlan stop hostednetwork
  • You'll see a message "The hosted network stopped", that means your WiFi is off now!
NOTE: Every time when you connect your internet connection, your hosted network also needs to be reconnected, so when you re-connect your internet connection, first follow Step 7 then follow Step 5 to successfully use the internet over WiFi.
